Maria Livingood is a Minneapolis-based hair and makeup artist, wife, mom, and the owner of Studio M, a space built on connection, confidence, and self-care. Her journey began backstage, long before the studio. As a competitive dancer, Maria fell in love with beauty while learning to do her own hair and makeup for the stage. By the end of her senior year, she was styling everyone else’s too. That early spark led her to the Aveda Institute Minneapolis, where she trained professionally and began her career in beauty. For over a decade, Maria has brought her artistry to life across bridal, commercial, and editorial spaces, specializing in soft glam makeup and expert color work. She spent ten years working behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week, leading teams and collaborating with top creatives in the industry. Today, at Studio M, Maria channels that same artistry into every appointment. Her chair is a place where clients come to relax, recharge, and leave feeling their most confident, inside and out. She believes beauty is deeply emotional; it’s about more than a great blowout or flawless skin. It’s about feeling seen, supported, and taken care of. Maria curates every service with luxury and care, using brands she loves and trusts, Wella, Color Wow, Amika and others. Outside the studio, Maria is a proud wife and mom to her daughter, who inspires her daily to build a life filled with love, balance, and creativity.
